Patina + Peonies

It’s with a grateful heart I welcome you to Patina + Peonies. Our little shop is family owned and operated in Frisco, Texas. My husband, Mitch, and I always talked about owning a little mom and pop shop when we retired. One day it dawned on us, why not now? Months after giving birth to our daughter we started this shop. We have a huge vision for Patina + Peonies starting here on the internet with plans for growth and expansion while also focusing on raising our 2 kiddos. Our inspiration is simple - giving to others, family meals, playing outside, school spirit, southern hospitality, classic children’s toys, and game nights at home. We truly believe the simple things turn out to be the big things.

Thank you for taking time out to visit Please email with any questions or comments. We appreciate you all!
— Warm regards, Lauren

Calligraphy by Lauren Logan

Lauren was raised in the dusty surroundings of West Texas and quickly developed a desire for adventure. She left home for Ole Miss, 14 hours away, as soon as she graduated high school and spent some of her favorite years in Oxford, MS finishing her Bachelor’s, cheering on the Rebels, and developing a serious love for Southern food. After college, she relocated to Dallas, Texas and began working in sales and marketing with a family insurance company. It was during this time that the idea of learning how to write beautifully became more than just an interest and pastime. While working full time in group health insurance and studying for a Master’s of Science Degree in Human Relations and Business, Lauren also began courses in professional calligraphy under renowned calligrapher Susie-Melissa Cherry at Southern Methodist University and Cherry’s own private studio.  About a year later, she had her certificate, which she hand lettered herself.

With the help of great friends and a bit of luck, Lauren was partnered up with a gal who owned a local invitation and letterpress company, and the rest was history. Lauren spent the next few years honing her craft and addressing a few thousand envelopes for wedding guests all of the country.

Lauren is inspired by all things aesthetic. She appreciates beauty, balance, and ingenuity. Everything from fine art and interiors to nature motivates her artistic talent. She is a thinker and a dreamer and enjoys working with clients’ specific desires and visions to come up with the perfect piece of artwork for them.

The love for adventure and the great outdoors eventually lead Lauren to beautiful Colorado. She currently resides in Vail with her pup (and best hiking buddy) Angus and she works for an extraordinary fine art gallery. Surrounding herself with spectacular scenery, artwork, and inspiration, she is excited to further her passion for creating unique hand letterings to help clients celebrate and commemorate their biggest moments in life.

Jen is originally from the Boston area, but now resides in north Dallas with her husband and 3 kids. She started working at a family owned flower shop 17 years ago where she first discovered her love for flowers and design. After 5 years, Jen dove head first into the clothing retail industry working for Nine West, Ann Taylor, and now manages an Apple Store. What hasn't changed though is her passion for floral design - she has been hired for weddings in Texas, Oklahoma, and Massachusetts. Jen does other special events such as showers & birthdays, along with helping people cope during the toughest times in their lives, doing arrangements for funerals. Everything she does is custom made, so if you have an idea, preference, or vision, contact patina & peonies - we know we can make it a reality!
